Calibration of Your IFTA Products

The calibration of your IFTA devices on a regular basis guarantees accurate and reliable measurement results. Based on our quality guidelines following the ISO 9001 standard, we recommend an annual calibration cycle.

When does a Calibration of Your IFTA Products Make Sense?

  • Do you have significant differences in the measurement results for some devices?

  • Do you have strongly changing environmental conditions?

  • Has your measurement device been out of use for a long time?

  • Do you want to ensure that your measurement device is prepared for upcoming important measurements?

  • Does your quality management require regular calibration?

In these cases, a factory calibration may be the right solution for you.

Why Should I Calibrate My Measurement Equipment?

Calibration of your measurement equipment is not required by law. For many companies, however, the need for calibration arises from quality management. Irrespective of this, calibration brings also concrete benefits: Correctly functioning measurement equipment avoids, for example, waste of material, recall of products of poor quality or ensures the safety and health of persons. As a manufacturer of high-quality measurement equipment, IFTA recommends regular calibration of all measuring devices, as this ensures traceability to the SI base units, keeps them in perfect technical condition, and thus creates the prerequisite for achieving reliable measurement results.

IFTA offers factory calibrations for IFTA measurement systems and uses measuring equipment that is regularly calibrated by a DAkkS-accredited laboratory based on ISO/IEC 17025.
