The fre­quen­cy-based cor­re­la­tion anal­y­sis pro­vides valu­able in­for­ma­tion for the cause and dam­age re­search of vi­bra­tion prob­lems.  Using fre­quen­cy-based cor­re­la­tion anal­y­sis, trans­fer func­tions can be de­ter­mined ex­treme­ly ef­fi­cient­ly. These allow a fast con­clu­sion of cause and ef­fect - i.e. which pa­ram­e­ter leads to the vi­bra­tion ex­ci­ta­tion of an ob­ject. Espe­cial­ly help­ful is the co­her­ence, which is cal­cu­lat­ed at the same time.

This anal­y­sis tool is avail­able in the IFTA sys­tems Ar­gusOMDS and Dy­naMaster both in real time as well as in data post-pro­cess­ing. The po­ten­tial of this tech­nol­o­gy is demon­strat­ed by means of prac­ti­cal ex­am­ples.
