The Processor for Real-Time Analysis
Stable and reliable data processing is the basis/foundation of the IfTA platform's success. A digital signal processor (DSP) processes high-resolution vibration data in real-time with the IfTA SignalMiner firmware using the so-called Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT). This level in the IfTA system does not require an operating system and therefore guarantees 24/7 protection and operation. After a power failure, the DSP starts autonomously using the firmware and configuration last stored in its flash memory and resumes its work after a few seconds.
The IfTA systems are based on a digital signal processor for signal analysis. This allows the deterministic runtime of commands necessary for protection systems with real-time capability in industrial environments. Optimized algorithms ensure short analysis times. Spectra with up to 6400 lines calculated live per channel are the most important example for this. The evaluation software IfTA TrendViewer can directly visualize data pre-calculated by the DSP.
