A shaker table is a technical testing device used to investigate the influence of vibrations on components or machines. As an exemplary example, a shaker table test stand of the company Ake-technologies is shown on the left.
Shakers can be used to test the component behavior under dynamic loads in order to obtain information about its fatigue strength limits and load limits. However, such a test procedure takes a lot of time. A long-term measurement with a suitable measuring and analysis system is essential for determining the causes and the exact time of the occurrence of damage.

The real challenge of long-term measurements with shaker table test benches is the processing of the large amounts of data that occur during long-term measurements. On the one hand, data should be easy to process for rapid detection of failures. On the other hand, the data set must have a high resolution for the analysis of vibration modes and deformations caused by the dynamic load. Triggered storage, i.e. event-based storage, is only recommended if the trigger threshold is known. Otherwise, a compromise must be made between the amount of data and the resolution.

Our system solutions in combination with the analysis software IfTA TrendViewer enable a very easy handling of large amounts of data, which are generated during long-term measurements on vibration table test benches. Based on the continuous storage, measurements over long periods of time are possible without any problems. Compact overview files allow fast searching for events and thus efficient working.
