During their service life, components are normally subject to a wide variety of loads, which must always be met, whether static or dynamic. In order to be able to test the actual behavior of a component under dynamic conditions, long-term tests or endurance tests are also carried out during the development phase of a component. However, dynamic measurements generate enormous amounts of data, which lead to the following conflict.

On the one hand, due to clarity, it should be possible to quickly analyze all data of the vibration behavior over the entire period, but on the other hand, the data set must be available in a high resolution for understanding the correlations of the vibration behavior. The underlying conflict is therefore to find the right compromise between storage/ computation effort and accuracy when measuring vibration over a long period of time.

A monitoring system in combination with an analysis software, which solves this actual contradiction and at the same time impresses with the accuracy and speed of the data analysis.
The IfTA systems in combination with the analysis software IfTA TrendViewer enable a very simple handling of large amounts of data, such as those generated in long-term tests of components. The actual contradiction between large amounts of data (computing effort) and fast analysis is solved in a very elegant way. Depending on the purpose of the analysis, the data can be viewed in different modes. In order to capture the entire time period, it is sufficient to display the data with a lower resolution, whereby it is possible to zoom to certain points with the highest resolution if required. Thus, very large amounts of data for long-term vibration analysis can be processed uncompromisingly.
