Argus Online
thumb_argusonline.jpgTo prevent oscillations from occurring or increasing in strength when a plant is being operated or tested by inspection or commissioning personnel, a rapid examination of these parameters and of changes in operating data with the help of appropriate plots or diagrams is absolutely essential. The innovative real-time display software Argus Online was specifically developed for this task and provides you with superlative support for your work.

To enable you to use the software from any desired location, e.g. from a control room or from your own office, Argus Online has a network connection which enables it to receive data distributed across the network by Argus Host. By using the TCP/IP protocol, it is also possible to access Argus Host data over the internet, i.e. from anywhere in the world. The user is also free to use this software directly and locally on the Argus system.

Free configuration of layout, data source and display form

Depending on the requirements of the user, this software can be configured individually. This applies to functions and options such as:
  • Unrestricted layout setting with any desired configuration of plots and/or diagrams on a one-page view or selection of any desired number of page views
  • Saving of layout setting for use at a later date
  • Simultaneous network connection to several Argus systems with the possibility for joint display of different system data in a single plot.
  • Connection assistant for simple setup of a network connection
  • Display of status of network connections in a status log
  • Presentation of signals in various plot types

Various plot and diagram types

To display signals, Argus Online has a large number of plot or panel types to choose from, leaving virtually no user wish unfulfilled:
  • Trend plot
  • Array/spectrum plot
  • Spectrogram plot
  • Waterfall plot
  • Counter plot
  • LED panel
  • Seven-segment panel
  • List panel

Overview of plot functions

To achieve fast, individual viewing or analysis of data, users can access an extensive range of functions within these individual plot and panel types:
  • simple selection of signals from logical signal groups
  • Auto-scaling, user-dependent scaling of graphs
  • Copying and transmitting scaling and signal settings per mouse click
  • Zoom and scroll function per mouse click
  • Moving the time and y data axis per mouse click
  • multi-channel display of signals in a plot
  • free choice of numeral format for axis scaling, e.g. relative or absolute presentation of the time axis
  • several y axes on each plot
  • Summary of y axes on each plot

Saving data locally

Parallel to the Argus Host, data received from Argus Online can be saved on the storage media of each workstation. This makes it possible, for example, for one user to selectively record certain specific events. These data are then available immediately, e.g. for further post-processing in Argus Trend.
